Does anyone have any ISP's to reccomend that go nationwide? ATT has now cnhanged the program I was on even though they said a couple of month ago that they would honor my program as long as I would stay on it. they also messed up my Cell phone by changing how long the perpain minuets last without telling me. I am fed up with ATT. Also interested in cheap web hosting.
Thanks
Jim Clark

I feel your pain with AT&T, Jim! I have not had first hand experience with EarthLink, but my brother has been very happy with them. I'm thinking of switching to them myself, but are area is a trial for Astound, they offer digital cable TV, Phone and Cable modem all for $79 a month, seems like a pretty good deal, so I'm waiting read the fine print when they go online in the next few weeks.

Jim,

Why do you need a nationwide ISP? Do you travel a lot? They tend to be more expensive than the local ones and have fewer incentives to join.

For cheap hosting try semol.com (a model boater) or vnode.com (full-size UL sponsors).

Used to be on Mediaone's cable\internet service. AT&T bought them last year. I had also heard rumblings about some services AT&T used for cable internet service elsewhere in the US have gone belly up, so many were effected.

Recently AT&T was sued so my email addresses were changed to @ATTBI.com Other than that glitch my service has been relatively good. Hey, not much to say about a 1100k down and 350k up speed!

I have both digital cable TV and Internet services. Pay about $90/mo here in MN though...

For web hosting, I have www.emyc.org on ISG Communications. No problems since that switch about 2 years ago. www.isgcomm.com
