If I remember correct it was with a Hopf 35-9 which is a Hacker B40L-9 sold by Hopf, with I think a Kontronik Controller.
But you have to consider its not legal for NAMBA Mono, it has a stepped hull.

Is this a stable hull or does it spend a lot of time upside down? It is the N2 Offshore record holder isnt it?

Für Glatt und mittel raues Wasser: for flat and medium sized chop...as opposed to the Snake AY which was also designed for the Mono I, 7 cell class but is only useable in flat water. However, in flat water, the snake AY goes like bat outta.......

I would still like to know the details of the Saw setup on this hull? Motor? Hardware? etc. Any pictures available? Thanks. Lee

This is good. I was hoping the record holder would divulge the setup but I guess not.

Sorry I missed your post !Its funny this boat was just a test boat that my friend DR Lou and I were working on.I didnt realy expect much mostly because of its size.I didnt do much to the bottom other than sharpen the trailing edges of the step and the transom. There wasa slight flaw forward of the step that required minimum effort to correct.
I used a straight shaft with a center mounted rudder behind the prop for good ballance.Motor was Hacker 6s on 6 sub Cs and a hacker 70.A X430 finished the set up.Thats it really quite a friendly and surprisingly stable boat.It was fun to drive and I am very proud of that record.Good Luck !

The Eagle pasted both these boats in the UK nationals - they were brushless powered and the eagle was 17 x 3 05 motor - more stable rights fast and turns better

Maybe you should enter the Eagle in the SAWs N-2 class if you are certain to beat that record. Would be a redemption of plastic boats over epoxy-glass boats....

It's coming in epoxy!!

Too far to go for records

Any other photos of the Eagle around?

Sorry only old ones and ones of the mould sheet. I'll try and fix that shortly. The epoxy version will be slightly different - new top for better stability but essentially the same underwater. I know there are some around moulded from the outside of the plastic moulds and cleaned up - obviously not optimum!! The first pulls killed the mould so slight delay - should have samples by the end of this week. Likely to be around UKP50
