I've got an old Hydro Sport that I want to get running again. I know it's old and out dated, but I seem to have a soft spot for this hull. Anyway, I was looking for power and hull modification suggestions.
It's pretty much gutted at the moment, and I'm not shy about changing the bottom, as long as the deck remains intact. That said, I'll probably re-do the hatch to give better access and sealing.
As for power options, I'm wide open for sport brushed applications on either 6 or 12 cells. Anything from a geared 05 on 6, to a 700BB on 12 (yes it will fit!).
Thanks,
Scott.

Personally I would detach the hull and deck, then throw the hull in the trash and start over with a shallower tunnel, angle, and prop setup.

Yeah I'm with Andy on that one. The easy way would be to build a new bottom to the deck. Try to mimick the angles of the current electrics and air traps. Good luck

Thanks guys,
So what would the cricital angles/heights be to bring the hull up to scratch? Just some general figures would be really helpful.
Scott.

Tappy I couldn't find anything but I think you want to refer to one of the set up articles for one of the bandit shovels that sould give you some photos to reference. I think we were using something like 6 degrees for the angle of attack on the sponson with ride surfaces about an inch and three quarters to two inches wide. Sponson depth looks like it has gotten shallower try a half inch.

Thanks Froggy. I found a thread where Garry Finlay gives all the relevant angles and depths for his new Pay N Pak LSH, so I might base the revisions on that.
Thanks for looking for me.
