I am planning on ordering the plans to build one of these from RCBM. I was wondering if somebody out there who either has the plans already or who has the magazine issue they were first printed in could please tell me what materials it requires(wood types, lengths, etc). I want to order the wood at the same time so I don't have to wait twice.

thanks

Dave, let me know how this builds out, I have the plans, (nicely done, almost as good as our young mr. forrester's lol) what motors are ya gonna run, I was wondering if I should run the twin hughey, or go to a 700, I have these mega motors but they require too many cells for this hull, let me know how ya make out, a number of the guys say brushless, but it's a little out of my league at the moment,,, anyway, wood is good, good luck, cheers eddie

I built one about a year ago and raced it at Batavia last year. It looks great on the water and is very stable. I built it by the plans, no changes on modifacations.

That is a nice looking boat Jim. Another Jim saw my original post and offered to sell me his unused plans and I have them now and once I have a day off of work I'm gonna start building. Still not sure how I'm gonna power it. Was going to use a hughey gear drive I've had sitting around, but then I decided I wanted to put it in a different boat(shallow vee, all set up, can't wait to try it)
