There is no equivelent prop the standard prop is a 27 mm 1.1 pitch. You can use a M427 which would be the right size and is a delifted x427 I believe. I am waiting for Andrew to carry the carbon fiber Graupner props I think they will be more subsurface friendly.

so do you think that i should stick to the stock plastic prop? the small diameter and the mod motor gives this thing some mean accelaration!

I just read your sign off. I like it.
If you haven't broken it, your just not trying. (maybe I'll make that mine)

O ok, so should i get the octura? and de-toung it? but there is still a good 1/4" between the end of the "flat spot" on the shaft (for the set screw in the drive dog) and the end of the stuffing tube, could i file it down, to near the end of the stuffing tube and move the drive dog back and get a tounged prop on there? i can bring it to my metals class and mill it down if i had to! if it is posible!

the hobby lobby has the carbon filled Graupner, but that has a 4mm threaded shaft the shaft on the avenger has a 6-32 thread on it! but they have some w/ the toungs on them and no threaded insert, would i have to balence this prop?

The stock Danvo for the Avenger is 30mm(I measured with calipers). And the closest pitch is the Octura's 0930 (I brought the prop directly to Tom at Octura). He showed me both props side-by-side and the pitch is identical and so is the diamiter and so is the hub length. The only diff is the blade design( the Danvo is simular to an X-series and the 0930 is a rounded blade). The X427/X430 type has a much longer hub length and you would have to de-tonge it to make it like a M series as stated above.
The only thing to do (as I will do in the Spring with my Avenger), is to try both the 0930 and a de-tonged X427 and compare speed, heat, lift & run-time.
This was recomended by Octura.

Viper, are you sure about that. Danvo makes several props. The one that I've seen come with the Avengers doesn't look like an x series to me. See the pic. The one on the far left is the one I've seen in the danvo Avenger.

Hello Dick,

Do you know what size the 3 blade prop is? I'm hoping it's a 40mm maybe similar to the x440/3?

Thanks, Paul.

You should really stick with the stock prop. It has shown to bethe best prop to use on the Avenger. Better than a metal prop.
Try e-mailing Danvo to order some more props in case you break one.

Hi Paul,
It is a 40 MM prop although it doesn't have as much blade area as the x440 3 blade. The pitch looks the same though.

Hello Dick,

Thanks man, that made my day! I hope Danvo still has them, my spec hydro runs best with the x440/3 but I can't run a metal prop.

Paul.

I had a feeling that was what you were thinking. It's a very nice prop. Very rigid and should work well.

Good luck,
Dick
