My New Hydro!

I finally finished my first hydro. This is from a lazer cut balsa wood kit. It was made from a set of plans drawn by Garry Finlay. It was originally supposed to be the 1/16 scale Atlas Van Lines, but I decided on a little different paint scheme. It's powered by a Lehner Neodym 4 turn motor, it has an ESC from RC Hydros, runs on 6 cells, and all the hardware is home made. The graphics are also home made. This is only my 2nd boat I ever built!

Are you kidding,,, love the looks of that boat. I think it looks better as the “Reeser’s” than the “Blue Blaster”. On six cells it should be very light. It should corner and accelerate very well. Beautiful work.

Nice looking hull man. I think that you'll have more appreciation for that boat than anyone running a stock box fiberglass hull. For only your second hull that is GREAT! heck even if you've built a few more....that is still great. You should see the junk I still make!

Fred did a good job, we haven't had a chance to sit down and talk over some things but Fred is a really talented builder...and the pictures don't do that hull justice.... as for him running over me, Ha!! good luck, I have survived Jwills evil attempts at sinking me as well as my own, LOL.... besides I am running american made motors!!!;) and have the best speed controls on the planet!!! we will see, The cool thing is we are picking up a few members who are at least into speed, and driving a hydro is a whole lot dofferent then running a mono... LOL , good thing that bad boy is orange, it'll make picking up all those little pieces, a heck of a lot easier....:D
