Ok, just thought I'd post this picture of my Camaro. The one shown is actually before I sanded the high build primer. Currently I now have the high build sanded, and I will probably start painting it next week. All the other parts have been now primed (bumpers, GFX, spoiler, etc. etc. ) It'll be done in the original black, but I'll be adding gold stripes. though I'm still pondering between heritage stripes. or a custom modification of those. Thus far I have taken 60 pictures of the whole progress. When it is completely done I'll be posting a page for those who will want to check it out.

That will be one cool ride when you're done Tony! How are the smog laws in BC....do they give you any room to mod that 305?

BTW, I had a black car in Alaska, and it was a major pain to keep it clean during break-up and freeze-up. :( It looked wonderful when clean though. :D

Where I live.. no smog problems at all.. I could mod the crap out of my 305.. but I don't plan on it.. keepin it stock. there are smog laws on the coast.. and it's only a metter of time before we'll have to conform up here.

Tpny nice job man is that primer Featherfill??? man that is hard on the lungs when spraying... with todays power options and parts for small blocks anything is possible from mild to wild all depends on the deepness of pockets!!!!!
the flames are cool too!!
keep us posted bro:hail:

ya, thats High build primer.. "Power Fill" I think it's called. It's a BASF product. Using DP26. I spray all products with a fresh air hood. I see on all those TV shows where those guys in the US use only a ordinarry charcoal respirator mask.. (talk about stupid). Unfortunatly at the current stage.. I've opted not to do the flames inside the heritage stripes. and just do the stripes. I need to try and get the car on the road in less than two weeks.. it's gonna be tight.

Ok here is a shot of the car in the spray booth. This is the first time I have ever masked and painted a car. But I think I did quite well. More pictures will follow once I get it all back together. This is Picture #84 of the whole process I've done on my car. I made the pin stripe around the main one an 1/8th inch wide. Looks really good. I used BASF as my paint system. Stripes are code MY052.20

Thanks.. Actually this is a Binks Down draft Spray Booth at school. I wish I had one.. But a wee bit pricy for my pocket book. It's an older one.. there is a newer Devilbiss Both beside this one. But it has an up hill ramp up into it. and this one is on level grade with a pit.. My car wasn't drivable, so pushing it up hill was out of the question.

I just came across this now and obviously too late but I would of
suggested you look at the Createx Autoair colors web site for
some ideas to do some cool and custom work with the paint.
Actually you can probably add some of the special effects paints at
any time. Check it out , its amazing what they have available.

there is some areas that are a bit dry, the driver side door has the worst orange peel .. :( so I'll need to fix that .. But I think I'll be eventually polishing the whole car. I pretty much had it all back together.. I'll probably clean it up, and take some more pictures. before sanding out the two or three runs.. and some dirt specs.
