Check here. I think it is the world's largest boat model plans source.

If that fails, try Mystic Seaport. They have plans for virtually everything that floats. I used to have an uncle who worked in the Ships Plans department.

Doug, Andy, Eddie,

Thanks all for your help. I've checked out the sites and you're right they're quite comprehensive, but no luck.
Eddie, you mentioned the Riva Aquarama. Does someone make a decent kit?
I've been doing scale RC Aircraft for years, together with model engineering, and I'd like to try my hand a good lucking posh launch.
Thanks

Stuka, I know amati makes a kit (resin) it isn't cheap, I think you should try to scratchbuild this one and use the money saved for top notch running gear, I have reviewed the plans, and compared to some of the kits i have bought, (ie any of the dumas run abouts) it would actually be easier, anyway the website is www.traplet.com go to the on-line store, I have purchased these plans, and I have to say the drawings , templates etc, are aces, it calls for two 400 motors, bump that bad boy up to two 480 races, maybe twin 400 races, through trannies, and then a pair of octura 430 right and lefts,,, hmmmm, sounds like a plan, it is a beutiful boat, plenty of detail hints , and if you search the web for the riva sight, plenty more to be added, the plans sell for a little over 8 quid, a bargain considering the detail and templates, there are plenty of plans on this sight, some really interesting projects, and I have to say the service/quality was excellent, no regrets, cheers eddie

Stuka;
You might want to try to contact Eddie Matthews at the Darlington & District Boat club in Northern UK. Eddie has started on a quarter scale Riva, not sure how far he has gotten. He is currently recovering from back surgery so may be difficult to reach.
He is also a member of this forum, but I haven't seen him out here recently.

Also a fellow club member of mine built the Amati kit of the Riva, it is a beautiful boat when finished. Hull is either resin or plastic, which you then cover with Mahagony planking for the wood look, consequently you end up with a fairly heavy boat. Fittings and details are excellent.
