Hi I went to my lhs and they have a pair of Trinity sayno 3000 pro Ni-Mh packs. I was wondering if they were any good. They said that they are disscontinued and I can get them for a good price. They are brand new sealed. So are these batts (cells mainly) any good? I've hears bad things about Panosonic 3000 cells but I was wondering if that also included the sayno 3000 cells.
Thank You in Advance,
Tom

I have no first hand experience with them, but ive heard alot of bad things about 3000s in general and was advised to stay away from them and for that reason never bought any. Thats about all I know.

What's wrong with 3000's? What about the 3300's, other than capacity, makes them better?

To be honest with you im not really sure why they are not that good, but if some one else jumps in im sure they could tell you. I can remember no more than maybe a year ago many people on the boards were strongly against them. Anyone?

The thing with 3000 is that they are more delicate than the 3300, you gotta slow charge new packs, slow discharge them and fast charge them if not one cell is likely to die. Repeat this process everytime you leave them for extended periods of time and as with any nimh dont let the voltage drop below .8v per cell.

How about the 2400 NiMh? They are priced cheap on the tower site and you get what you pay for right? Anybody try these curious to see how they compare to RC2400s?

The RC2400Nicads compare directly to the 3300, even some people decide to use them because they withstand more of a beating, and are slightly lighter. I really doubt the 2400 nimhs will stand up against 3300 nimh's. I would go with 3300's or 3000. As always i dont like nicads because I have to discharge them everytime. the nimhs I just store with enough energy after a run and quckcharge them when im gonna use them.
