Where can I get more info on "TJ's Performance Boats" 12 cell outrigger? I read the article about it by Jay Turner in RC Boat Modeler magazine. The link to their website doesn't work. Any ideas?

As far as I know, TJ's (Tom Balmes) is out of business. I would seriously doubt that any TJ's hulls would be available new. Perhaps you could find a used one, however.

I just spoke with Tom yesterday and he has two jobs now. He has gone to gas becuse there is only one Electric race in his district and wanted to run more. With two jobs he has no time to work on boats.

This is backwards, but I have an aveox 1412-2y motor and now would like to build or buy a fast sport outrigger to put it in. Around 12-16 cell size. Would be nice if it could turn left. Don't have a lot of building time. Any ideas?

Randy makes a 12 cell rigger and I am sure you could twist his arm to set it up.

When we use the 1412 2y its generaly with more cells than 12. In the event you ditch the sensor and get a sensorless controller you can reverse rotation of any BL motor. Then the problem is selecting a prop. With Octura, you ONLY have a small selection of right hand props.

I can get you just about any size you would like from 25mm to 60mm, right or left hand. Our props are made of Stainless Steel or CuBu and come polished, balanced ready to run. Special orders take around 60 days this time of year.

Details of all our prop sizes will be posted on the rumrunnerhobbies.com site very soon. Or you can email me directly at, don@rumrunnerhobbies.com
