Hi Guys & Gals!
Saturday, December 4th, 2004 will be our last meet of the year for the Devil Mountain Water Boilers at Heather Farms Park. This will be a fun run and club meeting, so bring some boats. This is an important meet to make even if you don't have a boat ready. We will be having a meeting for the Devil Mountain Water Boilers. We will get started running boats at 12:00, about 1:00pm we will start the meeting and resume running the boats right after that. I will be there at 12:00 with DMWB membership cards and NAMBA membership forms for those who want to join and vote.
DMWB dues, $25 a year. Each additional family member will be $5 each. One vote per family.
NAMBA membership is $40 a year if you download your newsletter from the internet or $45 if you would like a printed copy mailed to you.
As like last year, you are not required to be a member of the DMWB to race with us, you are however required to be a NAMBA Member or have one event membership to race at DMWB events. The one event membership is only good once in a calendar year, after that you will need to become a NAMBA member. As always, the club Fun Runs at Heather Farms are always free!
I will briefly describe the Meeting agenda:
Elections, we need to vote on the club officers, I am really hopeful some of you will step up to fill some of these positions, please think of throwing your name in the hat for ANY of the positions below.
Commodore (club President, responsible for overseeing all club business)
Vice Commodore (Club Vice President, second in command, may need to step in if the commodore can't fulfill duties on a temporary or permanent basses)
Sergeant at Arms (head of club equipment such as retrieve boat, buoy's etc... as well as setting up race courses)
Treasurer (The club accountant, responsible for keeping the books and budgeting)
Secretary (responsible for keeping notes at the meetings and posting on the web site)
Publicity/Public Relations Director (As the name implies, responsible for club publicity and public relations)
Next we need to decide what classes we will run in 2005, and if we should start to experiment with the new Li Poly batteries in one class. The will almost certainly be allowed in NAMBA competition in 2006, The sooner we start testing them, the better prepared we will be in 2006.
If you have motions, old business or anything else you want added to the agenda, shoot me a call or email.
Thanks,
See you all on December 4th!
