I have a bandit shovel I had a 700 8.4 graupner in it and a 637 prop on 12 cells this thing flew and I was great in rough water even. I put the batteries 1 cell in front of the motor. I just pu in a plett 4 turn 30 series and I am trying to figure out what runs best some of my friends in the club are running 645 on a 4 turn for about 4 maybe 5 laps. They are getting incredible speed ( that is with the torque ring on). I ran mine on a 442. Since I switched from a 700 to a plett it makes an incredible difference in how the boat handles. I am going to try some other set ups. I can let you know what works out best. For your money the 700 8.4 ran awsome with tons of run time I ran it with the 637 and I believe I tried a 536-537. It ran good on both, I just didn't go as many laps with the 637. I didn't even have it water cooled when I first ran it. I can send a pic if you like.

Mike
the props to use on the Plett Bandit shovel are Octura X632 or Octura X435
Want to see real speed - but a 30 second run time - use a Octura V937/3

Mike,
Scott hit the nail on the head for that combination. His bandit is one of the most competitve shovels I've ever seen.
Good luck,
Dick
