It would be nice if there was a hull out there similiar to this in fiberglass... That's kind of what I've been looking for was an older Bud style turbine hull that would pass as a 1996 Miss DeWALT (semi-scale... O-Hydro, LSH, etc...)

So far, the closest thing I've found that's descent is the H&M Viper Turbine, or whatever it's officially called...

Too bad we couldn't get someone to reproduce the DPI boats, or these MRP style boats in glass... :D ... ;)

As has been seen with the ProBoat Miss Bud... I think a hull such as this would be popular...

DPI is now owned by Pandan Model Boats in England.

From the Pandan website:

We also own the DPI Leisure Sports range of Scale model boats and Fast Electrics which we bought from the US company in 2002, but which to date has been fraught with manufacturing problems since moving the moulds to the UK. A range of these kits are expected to be available from a new dedicated DPI web site early in 2005.

I've contacted them to see if these boats would be available in the future... I'll let you know what their response is...

Still, would be nice to have something like this available in fiberglass...

I just received this reply from Pandan Models concerning the DPI boats...

Hi Darin,

We are currently awaiting a batch of new moldings for the DPI American Dream and it will be available in early February. The cost will be approx. $125.00 plus shipping for the Basic kit or $145.00 for the Basic Plus kit which includes the .05 motor and a single speed mechanical speed controller.

Shipping to the US would be approx. $40.00

Best Regards,
