This is a 46" cover with an open transom design. It will accomadate an assortment of hardware options. Includes 3 velcro reinforcment strips that can be moved to any postion.this design will accomadate tuned pipes, offset rudders, etc. Has easy elastic stretch on fit. The bow of the cover is double thickness to reinforce it . The shape depends on the model style. Check the pics on the other threads to see front of that boats bow. And as far as what started this , never saw one and had friends that always had towels throw over their boats, cars, and trucks, but they still got scratchs and dirty from being stored.So I say cover the boats and cars and keep the towels in the bathroom.
