Bob

if you put in Magnetic m's replace the plug and wire with Deans

Keep an eye on the MSC too, It may not handle the amp draw

Bob,

any motor with more power output will draw more current. The stock controller is not designed for high current

There are several things you may want to do prior to putting in a new motor.

eg ride plates on the sponsons; buy cell packs of CP1700's the lighter weight improves run time and speed; new metal prop X645; water cool the motors; 2 cells to the cell packs, so you run a total of 14; bearings in the driveline;

These changes will give you a faster running. On the other hand - ditch the MSC and get an ESC and the two new motors.

Why not try a 700 size motor in that boat? It should move pretty well on that motor!
