Hey guys, I haven't heard too much about the drag boats lately. Is everybody still working on them? I'm just about finished painting mine. Then its just a matter of putting on the hardware back on and making up some battery packs.

Has anybody tried one out yet besides Randy's "Just My Luck"? I'm asking because as far as I know, nobody's tried the hull without those rear sponsons.

Lets not let this idea die off. Also, Dan, what's the status of the timing lights?

Oh, one other thing. Don't forget the Nitro National Boat Drags are on Memorial Day weekend in Redbluff. Its only a 2 1/2 hr drive from Concord. Hope to see some of you guy there.

Mine is about ready for testing, the only real hang up is cells and a good motor. Work has been brutal last 4 weeks.

Were still waiting for a few more checks for the timing system, but went ahead and ordered the infrared lights so we wouldn't have to wait on them when the software came.

A few of us also picked up a few drag cars to test on land to work any bugs out of the system before we drop it underwater. Sounded like Joe was working on his boat, I'm not sure about the status of the others.

Maybe since we have no oval races in June, we can have a drag tune & test day at Heather Farms later in the month?

Wilmer found a new U/W video camera that we will vote at the next race. As soon as I have a link, I'll pass it on to you.

I wish I was going to be in town for it, Greg! They have the BEST show and Shine at Red Bluff!! I think Joe, Steve & John were talking about coming up.

Greg,

My boat and Just my luck were made with the same templates. The rear sponsons were added later.

The boat definately will work without them, just may not be as stable.

Did you see the video clip I posted of my boat at Heather farms on Sunday?

Brian

P.S. My avatar is a frame grab from that clip.
