If anyone is looking for an idea on how to do a windshield, after much experimentation, I've settled on Tamiya Acrylic "Smoke" X-19.

I tried decals, vinyl, some Great plains stuff, Pactra "Windshield Tint" and a few other things. All with less than satisfactory results.

Tamiya acrylic is great stuff. Water based, but can be thinned with alcohol to airbrush (although alcohol might slightly flatten a gloss color).

Here are some tips on airbrushing it: http://www.arc6.prohosting.com/Tools%20'n'%20Tips/0001-1000/001-100/031-040/TNT040_Tamiya-Paints_Rouse/tnt040.htm

Pics of the results will be posted soon. (I ripped out the windshield on the T-Plus in the picture gallery. I had done that with some adhesive backed stuff and it rippled a little.)

As a side note, if I ever buy a Testors paint product again, I hope that someone will shoot me and put me out of my misery. In recent weeks, I have learned to despise that stuff.

Although I'm pretty happy with the Tamiya results, if anyone else has a another idea, I'm all ears.
