Hello Need4,

Your going to have to sand the entire hull to get the paint to stick right. After you sand it use Polly's Plastic Prep which will remove any residue the sanding may have missed.

If you want the paint off, try a liquid/no-sag paint stripper. You just paint it on with an old cruddy brush, then when it bubbles up, scrape it off. Then just clean the hull with some naptha or mineral spirits, sand lightly and repaint.

Why not just sand the whole thing lightly, prime and pain tover what's there? It would be a little heavier, but easy.

There is a product that you can get from any auto paint store that you use to get the wax off. You will need to either scotch brite the area to be painted or wetsand it so the paint will stick.
