Sorry, that's all I know. The NAMBA nitro guys are holding there SAW at Legg Lake this weekend, it's open to electric records as well.

I was talking with Mark the other night and he was really pumped. He's only had a boat a little while, and it's a new design that nobody has years of experience setting up. I think he said the electric SAW was the first time he really had it on the water and had made several passes at the old record but couldn't back them up, and he told me what he was changing to fix it.

Sounds like he did it! Congrats, Mark!

How much better is that than the old record? (i.e, is the old 61.74 on the website accurate?) How does it compare to IMPBA's equivalent?

Andy, the old NAMBA T Mono record was 61.74 and has stood for awhile. Mark was well over that speed in one of his monos last year and as I recall had a pass near 70 mph but couldn't back it up. The fastest IMPBA Mono is 62.08 for a Q boat. The IMPBA T Mono record is 54.23 mph.

Guys
I tryed to bump the record up a little today but no doing. There is way more speed there but I need a different boat . I burned up my good motor last week (rewound aveoX 1817 1y, 1300KV) and had to use a 1817 1.5y, 900 KV which just is'nt enough RPMs per volt. I got the record with a P 245 prop but my motor was only warm.

Jerry Crowther bumped up the nitro X mono to 88 mph. He had a couple of 90 mph passes but could'nt back them up.He also bumped up the sport hydro record in his gas boat, 93 mph. Mark Grimm whent 101 on one pass and 103 on another in his A hydro but could'nt back them up but I think he still got a record in the 90s. Well the next saw is going to be at the end of January for those of you who may want to come.

Jay, last year on my back up pass I hit a turtle or something and my boat sank like a rock. My good motor sat at the bottom of the lake for over a week. Maybe thats why it did'nt last long this year.
Oh well, now maybe I will move on to some neu motors.

Thanks guys for the replys. Joerge, Mark ran some other stuff but did'nt do anything that I can think of. There was a pretty good turn out so you only got to run 4 or 5 times a day and mark was helping a lot of people so not a lot of time for his own stuff. Don Maher had the fast pass of the day with 119 mph. Wind, weeds and the lights going down did'nt help anyone either.
