I'm looking for a cruise that I can add to my 2001 Hyundai Accent. Tony Treichel suggested Dakota Digital, and I found some good comments on the Audiovox CCS-100.
Does anybody have experience with aftermarket cruise installations?
Thanks.

I installed one on my street rod and the only problem I had was the magnetic pickup on the drive shaft. the bracket for the sensor was junk and wouldn't stay in alignment. after making a better bracket it worked fine. I don't know about front wheel drive though I have never tried one on those. Dakota has always been good for me , haven't tried Audiovox.. sorry I couldn't be more help

I was told the Hyundai has a 4000 PPM signal, but it seems like a lot of these want the 8000 PPM instead. Do you think I'm better off going with adding the magnets on one of the driveshafts? That could be a pain on a FWD car as it flexes.

I think the magnets on a front wheel drive would really be a pain. I don't remember the kit we used but it wouldn't work with FWD. our car club meeting is tomorrow and I'll ask if anyone has done a FWD aftermarket cruise control.

Thanks, Larry. It looks like I want one with a speedo pickup rather than external magnets. Still got a little research to do.
