Tom I thank you for the kind words , I hope it serves you well . This motor was one of two that was put in a truck puller in the early 90's . our club was on the threshold of breaking the 300 pound barrier in open 2 unlimited class we all fought hard but no one seamed to be able to break it . I was watching a TV special on a real pulling competition somewhere in the states when they rolled in a exibition puller such that I have never seen before , In the whole event many came close to a full pull but no one actually made it untill this truck , It was beyond powerfull , It had pulled the sled right out of the stadium , a good 50 feet past the full pull mark this Inspired me to make the same truck in open two , that day was the turning point in my truck building direction . I worked for weeks , math , gear combo's , frame , motors , model parts , hitch hight and just making this bitch the nastiest truck our club ever seen , six weeks past and we were a week from our next contest in Lacombe Alberta when the undertaker was finaly finished . there was a lot of concerned looks and desporate questions that day in lacombe when it crested the corner ( I drove it into the pulling arena ) but in all my years of pulling I never seen so many mouths drop when I flew past the full pull mark with 305 lbs so fast that it nearly flew onto the back of the truck , then on the second pull by our presidents request it full pulled the clubs maximum weight of 420 lbs , the position for second place battled on for the rest of the afternoon . The Undertaker truck pulled for a term of 2 years ( 14 contests ) with out ever getting anything less than a first , on its last competition it finished with a full pull of 750lbs and was retired that day , The pinacle of the trucks carrier was the western Canada finals in which shaw cable filmed the event in a bar , we were also allowed one beer during the half way break ( It was televised in alberta ) and Jack mudrick ( club member - open ll ) bought the second place finalist in the worlds pull and it took second place in the western canada finals also . The Undertaker was retired almost exactly two years after its inseption without ever taking a second place trophy , she forever sits on our big screen reminding me of what a brutal machine she was in her day , And with a little bit of blood , sweeat and tears the little guy can still persevere
Wow! I have one of the motors out of that trucK?????????
AWESOME!!!!!!!! :)
