motor woes

hi, im having a bit of trouble with my 17x3 05 motor. It seems that the motor will spin only if it is in a set area on the armature. Sometimes it will spin and then if i stop the motor will not spin again unless i turn it by hand a little bit. It even does it with no drive line hooked to it. I unfortunately do not have another motor to replace this on with. Any help would be great.

that sounds like a segment of the arm is shorting or is disconnected

Generally a new arm is the solution - I wish I coul better for you.

You have a burnt wire in the winding. The only way to fix it is to replace the armature. Hope this helps.
