What to buy with new motor--------

:confused: :confused: : ------------------I am buying rc-hydros 60 amp esc and 2 19t pro chameleons to up grade my triton which is 2 motors geared to 1 prop. I need to know wat prop to buy (i think a 645x would be good), and i need to know anything else i should buy with my upgrade. I prefer it to be on www.towerhobbies.com. I really need to know if i need to buy some sort of wires to connect my up grade. THX alot guy. I really apprerciate the help you guys have gave me:).:confused: :confused:

Welcome to FE boating. Great fun and very addicting!

From Tower you can order some 12 awg deans wire that you will need, also deans connectors for the ESC, motor, and packs and charger. Deans have worked out well but there are other options such as sermos...also available from Tower.

I assume you are running the boat on 12 cells (in series) and the motor in para wiring. That would be the fastest.

See if you can find bearings for the gearbox (look in your manual for sizes) I have not see the triton gearbox so I do not know if bearings are in it or not. Also, any other bearings in the ourdrive.

I usually find other sources to buy my goods from. There are many good shops on the net (and this site when the links page gets back up) that can get this stuff to you with less shipping fees and they also support the hobby thru sponsorships, latest trends and information--not to mention just about all I have bought from end up becoming good contacts and friends.

:confused: :confused: I am very confused. I cant find "deans" at tower. I might try somewhere else but i want to buy a 40$ radio wihch is pretty cheap compared to 60-70$. So far i could only find a 40$ radio at tower and no cheaper any where else. Can someone give me a site where they have basically everything i need to upgrade my boat and get a good radio (for cheap) and a good prop? And if u have any suggestions about which motor i should use tell me plz. THX:D :D :D

hey Bob, if you want a cheap radio system try the r/c car section of ebay. I bought my last 2 from there for $30 each and they work great. I've even seen new Futaba 2 channel AM systems for $39.95. then you can get the rest of your stuff from the guys that you can find on here. Just my 2 cents:cool: :p
