Cool. I will link it on OSE
We at Wave Blasters currently have four running. Some jump out of the hole and run great. Others just do not want to get up on plane. Wonder why?:)
These SV27 are running and are fast but need some changes IMHO by MFG..1. shaft needs to be corrected--to long to allow drive adjustment. 2. trim fins should be adjustable--SS to hard to safely bend except by a careful craftsman. 3. Antenna should be on the hull--my mount on top of water tight box broke and even when in use it is akward removing the cowl. 4. Battery boxes are to far to the rear for a good running CG. I am running one batt. pack in stock location and the other a batt. pack length forward of stock and my boat is still loose at upper speed. Will be using GPS for some speed figures beginning this Monday afternoon. 5. Radio should be FM. These 6 channels are not going to be enough for our club and feel that MFG could supply FM at a reasonable cost and have a better boat. Could go on and on but this is an excellent boat for the newbies and those with more experience. Keep it stock. Just feel that some of these issues could and should have been taken care of before boat was released. Really like some of the posts by non owners posting on hearsay.

Hey Bob,
It's Mike from the BoneCrushers......
Your posts about the Super V would be seen by alot more if they were in the "main" forum. This is pretty much for your club members. A great place to keep members informed of upcoming races and events. SP. See you guys at the pond today....MJ :)

I'm located in Mims, Florida, just north of Titusville.
I recently got my start in R/C boats with a Soling 1 meter sailboat.
Have previous R/C experience with planes, gliders and (long ago!) cars.
I am "Jonesing" to run a classic shovelnose hydro, probably something like a NAMBA LHS or similar boat. I have a line on one, set up as (I think) an "O" or "P" hydro.
There really doesn't seem to be any organized E-boat activity up my way.
I just ran Mapquest, and it looks like you guys are about 112 miles from me.
Wayne from the Culvert Dodgers invited me to come run an E-boat with their gassers, but I don't know about that as yet.
So, I guess I'm just saying "Hi!" for now and hoping that something will develop nearer to my location.

Good to hear from you. We have boaters from Micco, Fort Lauderdale, & Vero Bch come down/up to run their boats. In January we will be starting our 2007 raceing. We run the Aqua Craft as a class, PMono, and Hydros etc if we get enough for a heat. Miniimum of three boats. Many scale boaters, tugs, PTs etc. Our web site shows a bunch. We can only run electric on our lake. Rules.
Two of us were at the Orlando Culverts a couple of weeks ago. Great bunch of boaters. We sorta of issued a challenge to them to run agaisnt some of their gas boats.. Hope that comes about next year. We have one boater with a monster and has already hit 68MPH.
After the first of the year try and come down. Let me know. gbrobbins@bellsouth.net:

A nicely laid out site G.B. I hope you'll continue to add captions to the photos. I'd love to know more about some of the scale boats, like which PT is that, is fishing boat kit or scratch etc.
BTW, which PT boat is that?

Actually, the designers of the boat spend more time on International Waters.
The some jump, some don't thing is new to me. The only thing we've done is take out the front of the battery boxes and put in velcro, set the trim tabs to neutral and trim the front of the stuffing tube. We've also put in our own receivers, which solves the radio issue. I run DSS in mine.
The Aquacraft crew was in China not too long ago. I think one of things they were working on is straightening out some of the manufacturing consistency issues.
I agree on one thing, run it at the club level stock...even down to the prop. Sure, the right Octura prop will increase speed, but the increase doesn't really add to fun of racing with true stock boats. All the fun is in racing with almost complete parity.
Ours consistently GPS at just under 33 mph. And when they're raced, it's all about a good start and course management.

I 100 percent agree with the "stock" approach. IROC baby!!! Let the driving skills and the setup tell the tale  ...MJ
