I'm working on my first boat and have some questions regarding Painting.
I bought a DPI T-Plus hydro and have thrown out the entire paint scheme for one of my own. Pretty simple really red, Black and White. I have Laid down 4 coats of Krylon Interior/exterior spray with enough sanding to break my arm. A workmate of mine had a digital Vinyl cutter and he was able to cut out some pretty detailed logos for me, which I used as both Templates for some more Krylon as well as the Vinyl alone for lettering.

ok so heres the Questions.
One, I need to laydown some Krylon Clear, How many coats and how much more sanding is nessisary?
Two, I still want to use a few of the decals that came with the kit, Do i apply those after the Clear coat? Or can I clear coat over them?
Also, Can anyone tell me whats the best tape for keeping the remote control cover on?

Thanks in advance.

Paint can add weight quickly, once you sand inbetween coats and are happy with the finish apply your decals and put on the clear coat. I put on 2 coats of paint and sand most of the first coat off.(this makes a colored base for the 2nd coat) After putting the decals on I use 2 light coats of clear. Allow time for the paint to dry before painting or clear coating. Just how I do it. I'm sure you'll get more Ideas. Fullers sells a good clear tape that works really well, and does not leave sticky film on the boat like black electrical tape. My 2 cents!
