Hello Guys:

Just a few words to give you an update on the Wave Blasters. We had our first official elections on Jan. 24, 2007. We went from a few talking to 42 members in the past few weeks. We now have an elected board of officers and installed directors. Our Constitution and ByLaws have been written and adopted and are in the web site for viewing. New people are coming forward every week and they are signing up and becoming members.

We are running the SuperVee 27 as a class boat. We have approx. 25 of the SV 27's running. It is not uncommon to run more than 20 boats on race day in formal competition. We run basically a box stock class and then a slightly modified class. We will be adding other classes as we can. but for now are having to learn how to run races in a timely and efficient manner. We have formed a formal race team and are looking forward to some traveling and competing with some of the gas boats. Several of our members have some gas and nitro boats but have to travel to run them because our lake is county controlled and gas is not allowed.

I am sure you are aware of our web site and would welcome your comments concerning the same. We have listed a contact page with the club officers, please contact any of the people listed to get more information or let the club know of upcoming things that we should be aware of.

We do love the Rum Runner Forums, it keeps us in touch with our friends and what is happening around the model boating circles. The swap shop has been my pocket book emptier if you know what I mean but I love it.

You guys have a neat concept. You do not limit your club to one format. I run scale, sail and FE boats and it is great that the public can view all formats at your facility and that will increase the modelling fraternity, as they are able to make up their minds viewing your different classes, as to what meets their desires.
