Ok, i got my first "real FE boat" about a week ago. I had just been playing around with the cheap nikko 20$ boats and this is the first boat where i get to build it. My boat is called the triton and u can see a review on it at fastelectrics.com I did not touch it yet but i need to know ANY advise before i build it. I would like pretty good speed and descent run time. I was thinking upgrading it with 2 magnetic mayhems or something cause i read a article bout magnetic mayhems and how there good on boats. I need advise on how to make my boat go fast with spending about 200-240$. I know how to put the motors in but i need to know if i should buy anything else besides the motors. THx alot guys. I really appreciate the help.:D :D

Hello Bob,

I've got that same boat, nice looking rig. Unfortunately the drive system in that boat is a bit "inefficient". I'm converting mine over to a 8.4 700BB motor direct drive. It's allot of work but the whole job can be done for under the 200.00 range you mentioned.

My suggested setup;

Octura strudder assembly OC6STR-130A (59.95)

Prop x642/x445

8.4 700BB about 40.00

Octura Flex Hex OCFHE5MM13 7.95

Motor mount DPI aluminum about 10.00

That's it, put that in there and you'll have a screamer for just over a C-Note.

Hey Bob,

For the Octura Hardware you would need to call them up and give them the part numbers I listed. They will send it out UPS COD and you can pay with a check.

Phone, 847-674-7351

For the other stuff Andrew is the man who can take care of you.

Paul.
