It sure was good to get out for a weekend. Perfect weather and a great pace of racing. I want to thank Doug, Mark, and Jeff for putting this little event together and making it worth the trip. Look forward to next years race. Thanks guys.

Hey Mark my four year old nephew is in the market for some brushless motors, still have them?:D

Did we get any video of Jeffs P sport. That thing must have been doing at least Mach 1

...and Marks LSH :hail: FAST FAST FAST! Can you say "smoke on the water", oh wait that was on the bench. I demand a tech inspection!

Terrance,

After you left we decided as a club to do more tech inspections next year. All cells will be tested on a discharger/recharger to determine their actual Mah capacity. All boats measured for length and width. And SV props will be put in a paint/ink solvent to make sure they are stock plastic and not metal.

We at the Mazo club are dedicated to keeping this sport on the up and up.

Any other suggestions please reply!

Doug P.

OH - And we will have a limit on how many white boats can run!

So I can still have my props black powder coated then :) to look like the SV's.

Glad to see you guys racing!

I noticed Lee nosed out Doug in P Mono. What's the matter, Doug, couldn't keep that thing closer to the pins than lane 10?? :)

Dave A. Know matter what we come up with you seem to always one up! I will have to research now how to deal with black powder coated props.

Dave N. A couple of us have actually been at our pond alot. Me mostly. I have been doing alot of practice driving. It really helps to practice. I ran lane one and two with all my boats and had really good starts most of the time. I shelved my P-Mono from last year and brought my old one out of retirement. I needed the speed control for my P-Offshore. My old P-Mono is as good as ever. In our last heat I was way ahead of the pack and decided stupidily to try and lap Lee. Flipped it on turn three coming home. I have more learning to do.

Good to hear from you. Doug P.

Next I will coat them with plastic hahahahahaha (evil laugh). Better get your flex tester ready.

As for Doug's driving, it was top notch, better than most on the water last weekend, me included. But then again it is always fun to rub paint with Lee. Lee has since learned to built bullet proof boats . He stuck one so far into a hard shelled bouy that it took them a few minutes to free the sucker. It left a little bouy paint on his hull, but no damage, now thats building.

At least they all weren't white AND all Vipers, now that would have been fun!

I may build a RC Turtle for next year and run it during everyone of Dougs heats. Mu-ha-ha-ha Mu-ha-ha-ha!

the n2 offshore boats are pretty darn quick. dave has a rocket that he modified to look like a no-step! runs as fast as an n2 mono, but it does it for 4 full minutes.

here's some pics....the 1st one is what our pond looks like at 5:30am on a saturday morning, yup...i was already there grinding away on props. #2 is the winning N2 sport hydro (aussie shovel) and LSH (H&M viper). #3 is one of the SV27's. #4 is 3 SV's waiting for the go. #5 is what happens to weak turn fins going down a straight...hmmm...still ain't figured it out yet, probably had something to do with a torque roll and 5 feet of air.

Terry,

If you're reading this, note that I'm not mentioned once. I only went down to the pond for a quick visit. My only contribution to the event was making some simply award certificates and heat sheets.

And wow, everyone had fun and the club did a great job.

Go figure.

I suck and did not make WI or Batavia. Just no time to get there and I just bought me a 37 mpg car! Not sure some of my big boats will even fit in that tuna can I bought.

Doug, I think of this race and your spirit of putting a great show on. My son and me had the best time when we came up and you were the best host. Certainly things change but I think this proves the continued dedication for a race at one of the nicest lakes and set up a person could ask for.

I see Ned did a 1st place...good job, Ned!!

this was my 2nd event with the Mazo group. the dougs put a lot of effort into making sure everyone feels welcome and has a good time, i was just there helping. as for Ned's 1st place...i didn't know that a 19t mono could go that quick!! the man knows what he's doing, that's for sure. i've been thinking of "retiring" but the 3 days in july at mazo are fun enough to keep me into this sick twisted hobby of ours.

Just dump your riggers and pick up an SV. You'll exponentially increase the fun with less maintenance.

In the meantime, I have spare. First timers and 8 and 10 year olds have been using mine so you barely quality, but I'll give you a break. LOL

:yeah:

have you seen me run a rigger this year? and i can't dump cash into another boat. i'm waaaaaaaaaaaaay over budget. this hobby got kind of expensive all of a sudden, well, more expensive than it was.
