has anyone heard of a cluch for use with a nitro engine? as i would rather be able to stop my boat rather than grab it at full speed

Set up your carb so that with trim fully to power it idles, but cut back it shuts down.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that
but, I also kinda want the boat to stop and idle without having to restart the engine

If you leave the trim full forward, it will idle but there will be some movement. PUlling the trigger (gently) will get you back going again.
You need to look in the RC car market for a clutch that will do what you want.

see if you can use the clutch system from the Traxxas nitro VEE
That cluctch system works great.
I love the ease.

it could, i wouldn't let it sit for too long, or hook up a water pump or something
