:yeah: Race 12, and the end of the points series proved to be a fantastic time. First a BIG THANKS to Mike from the "HOBBY SHOP" and "SANATA ART STUDIOS" for the raffle prizes, and Frank Nash Jr. from Roselawn inc. for the use of the pond. The weather was fantasic and a cool autumn day. We had a slight breeze. Had a great turn out with 17 boats in 3 classes. The day began with P MONO OFFSHORE on the O.S. "M" course The 4 drivers made call to the water and all drvers made a clean start. The boats all ran fast and clean on the same lap with in a straight aways lengnth of each othe until lap 6, when Chuck flipped his SV 27 in the top of the turn and left the 3 remaining drives to the course to the end. At the checkered flag, it was Sean taking first, Chris 2nd and Rod 3rd . In MONO OFF SHORE heat 2 the same 4 driver made pit time call to the water and the race began with yet another clean start. The boats ran in close formation with Sean in the lead to lap 5 when Chuck flipped his boat exting the turn follwed by Chris flipping his shortly after leaving Rod and Sean running 1and 2 in that order. At the end of lap 8 Sean took 1st and Rod 2nd. We flollwed the Mono class with P SPORT HYDRO, The 4 drivers in the class had decided to run 1 heat and a main and also to allow all drivers to run lipos if they peferred. The race began with a bit of a scatered start as all 4 boats were fast and a couple of them were on the edge of uncontrolable. Sean Took an early lead with Mike in second Chucks boat proved to be the fastest set up but had a rough time managing the course. On lap 3, Mike Running in 2nd flipped in the turn ending is run. Chuck followed him by flipping is boat on the next lap leaving Sean and John the water to the finish. At the races end, it was Sean taking 1st and John 2nd. Chuck and Mike 3 & 4 respectively. We followed up with the largest classes of the year LSH. HEAT 1A Began with all 5 drivers making a clean start The 5 drivers ran with John in the lead to lap 3 when Jason flipped in the turn Followed by mark flipping in the turn on lap 5, this left John, Chuck and Terry , On lap 7 John went very wide in the turn and Chuck moved to the lead the race continued in this order to the ceckered. Chuck took the win with John in 2nd and Terry 3rd. HEAT 1B. All 5 drivers made the pit time call to the water and the race began. At the start Jasons boat went dead and drifted to the course center so the race started with out him, the 4 drivers left and began with a clean start with John leading the race at the last turn of lap 1 Marks boat began to have streering issues and left him on the course. With 2 boats out this left John running 1st, Chuck in 2nd and Terry 3rd. Terry began loosing power and Chucks boat began dropping off as well this left John an easy win followed by Chuck and Terry in that order. The remaining heats were LSH HEAT 2A. All 4 boats made call to the water. The race started cleanly with Rusty who's boat has been flat fast recently taking the lead followed by Mike, Sean and Rod in that order. On Lap 4 Mike clipped the bouy and ended his heat early leaving the remainng hydros to battle for the win. All 3 drivers ran a clean race to the end on the same lap with less then a straight ways distance between them. At the finiish it was Rusty Taking the win with Sean 2nd and Rod 3rd. The last qualifying heat of the day was heat 2B, All 4 drivers made a call to the water and the race began with a very close start all 4 boats were running in a tight cluster with Sean and Rusty running for the lead, when on lap 2 Mike flipped in the turn, yeilding the water to the 3 remaing boats. The drivers ran on the same lap to the end with sean taking the checkered followed by Rusty with Rod right behind in 3rd. Next we moved to the mains. The first main of the day was MONO/OFFSHORE. All 4 drivers made the start of the race with Chris, Sean and Rod all running head to tail to lap 3 when Rods boat lost steering, to rudder damage. This left Chris Sean and Chuck running the course to lap 4 when Chuck flipped his boat in the turn. The reamainig 2 drivers went on the the race finish with Chris Taking the win and Sean taking 2nd. Next up was the LSH MAINS. First main would be the B MAIN with its 4 drivers, All 4 Drivers made the start and began cleanly. Mike took an early Lead with Mark in 2nd, Rod 3rd and Terry running in 4th. The race ran in that order to lap 3 when Mark went wide and Rod took second place with less than a straight seperating him from the lead boat. Mike ran cleanly, protecting his lead with Rod closing in from behind, on the final turn Rod was right at Mikes tail and Mike went a bit to wide and left a small inside lane that Rod took full advantage of and passed Mike for the win by less than a boat length at the finish line. Putting Mike 2nd Mark 3rd and Terry 4th. The last LSH A main of the year proved just how far the drivers had came this season. All 4 drivers made the pit time call to the water and the race began with a clean start. Rusty took an early lead, however John, Sean and Chuck were all running in a tight cluster right beind him. On lap 3 Sean and John had closed in on Rusty and began to move towards the lead. By the end of the lap they had caught and passed him with Sean and John Running in close order 1 & 2. On lap 5 John went wide coming out of the turn and blasted past sean taking the lead and never looked back. The race Continued to the end without any incidents with all racers fininsing on the same lap With John taking 1st, Sean 2nd, Rusty 3rd and Chuck close beind in 4th. This was probably the cleanest and closest race of the year Great Job Guys!!! The last main of the series would be the P SPORT HYDRO. This one would prove to be kind of a last man standing as this would be the first time the entire field would be runninng Lipos, most of the boats had been untested on lipos, which would proved to be a major factor. The race began cleanly but was rather frantic as the boats were all FAST, Chuck's boat was clerly the fastest but had trouble running a tight course due to the handling at that speed and was beeing countered by the remaing drivers running a shorter course. On lap 5 Chuck flipped in the turn followed by Mike whom would flip in the next turn. This left John and Sean running the course with Sean in the lead. On Lap 6 John would fall victim and flipped as well, handing the win to Sean. We ended the day with raffles and the Champions Trohies. We raffled Custom RMTB "I SURVIVED" CHAMPION T-SIRTS and Custom framed Hydroplane art prints from Sanata Art Studios, Hydroplane Images provided by Pete Schille, Mike from the HOBBY SHOP provided a TRINITY Discharge tray and balancing system. With the points all added the Champions would be declared. Here are the results of the Championsip series. In MONO / OFFSHORE . SEAN C. (Jeepers) CHAMPION, ROD S. (hydronut) RUNNER UP. Congrats to you guys! And too for creating a great series. Those trophys look slick. There's a painted boat on the top of those?

Thank you Doug. Your Classic Hydros kits is what our club has used as our foundation. LSH is our largest class. As for the trophies Yes they do have painted hydros on the top. We felt the hydroplane classes needed to be recognized. So we found these 1/43 scale hydros then designed the trophies and had a local Trophy Shop ("The Big Picture") make them for us. They turned out great. Thanks again Doug for your support and products. It would have been much more diffacult without you!!!
