I'll never get one. That would be very cool. Its to expensive and don't have time for it anyways.

LoL 100mph in a bassboat is not practical at that speed the smallest wave could cause a blowover and at that speed water is like concrete.

Notice the top speeds of those boats is similar. it takes huge amounts of power to get a boat over 60 or so according to my uncle david Quinzon who used to race tunnel hull boats. Since he no longer races his hobby is building up the motor on his boat. his will do 90 the motor is um *cough* a little larger than umm *cough* it is rated for. but the stickers on the motor still say 250 :)

Yeah Addict is right. The only reason I would have a bassboat for was to fish. I would never go 100 m.p.h in a boat anyways it would be darn right crazy.

May not be practical, but its still cool.

ya know that to go twice as fast it takes 4 times as much power

At my grandpas house on White Lake every tuesday they have tournaments. They really do use the speed of those boats there. Its actually like a boat race when it starts (mong the bass boats that is) I have seen guys allready have lines in the water before there boat has settled back into the water. To have that boat in hobby fishing tournaments is kind of a waste since the prize is under 20 dollars usually. I'll stick with R/C!

Yeah all fishing tournaments are like that, they have a certain ammount of time to catch what they can and they also race to the hot spots to get a good hole. There are a certain of number of guys sent out at once and everyone knows in advanced where abouts their going to fish, so do the other anglers so they race to the spots.

water 50 mph and above hurts the same. TRUST ME.... it just takes longer for the pain to go away.

Now it's so nice to see "surface drives" on a real boat. :D
Or this one for that matter! http://marineturbine.com/video/power_2_384.htm

surface drives on a real boat are very un common. a few reasons why- the boat handles terribly when the prop is submerged when the boat is off plane. it takes a lot longer to plane off, some racers hook up tubing to an air pump and pump it through the prop to get more torque!

I run a Charger 18' with a 150 v-6 on it. It will make you shake if you can hold it down. I have had it all over the water and in the air.

These bassboats have some of the fastest hulls out there.

No where else can you find a hull that can out handle a good bass boat that comes from the factory...not talking Seebold tunnels.

These things eat the water.

My boat trims so high you just ride on air and maybe the last foot of the hull.

Love it...the real rush...but I bought it to fish ! :)

ya know that to go twice as fast it takes 4 times as much power Only in theory. The 4-cell record is 45 mph, and the 24 cell record 87 mph. That's SIX times the power for less than twice the speed....

You guys wanna see real surface drives!!! Next time i see a pic of George Desmonds Donzi X-18 with 750+hp procharged.... ill post it up, the "Mighty Mouse" runs 106.3 with a mean roostertail and cleaver :D

And now 32cell for 100! Whats next 48 for 110?
