wanted: SSH (LSH) hull or complete boat

Guys:
Looking for a hull that I can run in Spec Sport Hydro class (similar to LSH but requires solid shaft, plastic prop, and limited motors).

Here is my short list:
- Graupner Taifun (or Tornado)
- UL125 Wildfire
- BBY UL1

ideally, looking for Graupner hyrdodrive system (GR1157) as well.

Any help locating used setup would be appreciated, or a place to order one (esp. the Taifun which is not sold in US by HobbyLobby).

I think Chris Fine has Taifun's. www.bbyracing.com has the UL1.

1157 setup you can get from Hobby Lobby. It includes a motor that works great on 14-16 cells (for fun running). The motor is legal for LSH but not the best performer.

You are right Andy,It was the Tornado that I wanted.

I haven't seen a Tornado around for a long time. If memory serves me correctly, however, I think you'd be hard pressed to shoehorn in 12 cells and a Sp 700. With 7/8 cells and an 05 can motor there was no room in the hull.

Ken, Check on the BBY board there is a guy selling a grupner set up and a RC-Hydro's SC. Don't know the models but he has his E-Mail address there so you can contact him.
BTW condolences to Randy his father died (posted on his board).

Thanks all. I found the setup I was looking for. A Graupner Taifun with the Graupner Hydroplane Drive (GR1157) which is a perfect match for the SpecSport Hydro P class. Last one of the batch from Chris Fine. He may order more as the main US distributor (HL) is not importing them right now, but are still avail in Germany.
