It looks like there may be some confusion about the building of the 1/16th scale Notre Dame (maybe the larger size too). These plans are more “brief” than some of the others. I do not show any assembly pictorial illustrations.
The confusion is; are the bulkheads positioned with the bottom edge even with the bottom edge of the stringer: YES - make that NO (read below). This makes it so the sponson bottom sheet covers the bottom edge of the stringer.
This is the way it is on all my plans. I just did not put the extra pictorial view in the assembly sheet to make this more obvious. The part outline has a phantom line along the inside edge of the sponson bottom sheet. This it where it covers the bottom edge of the stringer.
All the other plans are OK
Sorry for the confusion. It looks like most of you have gotten past that and are making some gorgeous hulls.

Can I just crawl into a hole and wish this had never taken place? I SCREWED UP.... THE ABOVE POST IS WRONG.
With the notches the way they are, the bulkheads at the sponson bottoms are .09" short of the bottoms of the stringers (the thickness of the bottom sponson sheeting). This is my error. The fix is to butt the bottom sponson sheet up against the stringer where it extends below the bulkheads. This will make the sponson bottom template wide by about .09 - but that can be trimmed off after assembly.
I have built two hulls to these parts and did not catch the error. I think it is because I also sized parts templates for 1/32" ply deck and bottom sheeting and mixed the two bulkhead profiles. The solution is to put the sponson bottom up against the edge of the stringer, not cover it. Then the sponson bottom sheet will be wide, but that is OK because it will be trimmed flush with the side of the bulkheads for the sponson side sheet.
You guys have worked through this and solved the problem by either trimming the bottom of the stringer or putting the bottom sheet along the side of the stringer base. Both will make a good hull inspite of my screw-up.
I'll send the new plans out. They will have the corrected bulkhead profiles. Plus, they will be designed for 1/32" plywood decking and bottom sheeting. This will be a better build for most people than the 3/32" balsa with 1/64" ply laminated on top.
Sorry for the confusion. By working through this and making great boats inspite of my &$@^-up,, you are better people.

Here is a photo of the bulkheads with the sponson bottoms aligned with the bottom of the stringers. This is what I had intended. This also shows a finished hull in the background - It can be done.

Hey, I'm a newbee and i figured it out :D Than it cant be all bad.
I have a question about the NotreDame regarding the inner stringers. The plan states that they should be assembled AFTER decking. I may be way of here, but wouldn't it be easier to mount the stringers and finish with the decking? I'm thinking about adjustments of the parts and waterproofing the inside with epoxy.
Maybe I'm missing a point on the plan? I don't want to mess up the hull with a stupid mistake in the end.

Either way is cool. It may be easier before the deck is on. But it add strength for when you lean on the deck to get it to lay down for gluing.
Often things can (and should) be done the way it makes sense to you - not me.
