O.K. Let get it on.
First of all, after an accident i spend some time at the Hospital (many time to think about my project) and i change my mind. Inspired from Hydronuts Eaglebuilt-Threat i wanna try to do my best to build this Hull so close to the original as possible. I knew Hydronut has set the bar high for the Electic Eagle but i try do my best ;)
I'm building now the 68 Miss Electric Eagle based on Garry's 1/10th Ted Jones Plans.
This means another dropped Sponson Hull with a pointed Bow has entered the Competition.
And now please enjoy my building!

First of all i have to do preparing my materials, i live in Germany so it's a little bit tricky to get 1/4" 3,2 mm Balsawood for me. The idea is to make a kind of Sandwichwood by my self, to get the right Measurements. This means a 3 mm Balsawood between 2 layers of Epoxyglass. But how to do this?
Mirror, mirror on the Wall ... but Pictures says more than words

After pressing the Wood and the Glass between 2 mirrors overnight, the result looks awesome. It becames a very light, extremly strong and absolutely flat Balsawood/Glass-sandwich with 3.2 mm thickness. Now i can start to cut out all of the Frames.

There is not much to say about this work. I use an Exactoknife and a Steelruler.
First pic shows the grossly-cut without lightholes. The second Pic shows the finish Framework and you can see the dropped sponson frames.
More Pics coming soon ...
