Does a receiver made by eg fubuta work with a controller made by eg acoms. Basically are different manufactures compatiable with each other.

PCM - no.

AM - yes.

FM - mostly.

With FM you only need to watch for them to be advertised as "JR" or "Futaba" compatible. Futaba controls 80% of the market, so if it doesn't say anything chances are it's Futaba-compatible.

The other buzzword is "negative shift" (which means "Futaba") or "positive shift" (which means JR).

i've got all acoms stuff from about 1993. want to use the
controller with a new set of servos & receivers in a new boat.
