Hi,

Anyone out there that have tried this thing?
I bought one for my micro boats, thinking a 30amp esc would fit perfect with speed 480 motors

But it starts clipping everytime I give full throttle, I have no idea what to do about it.. I have tried to mail kontronik about the problem, but they are just saying that they only test their products in planes not boats? what do I do?

Any good ideas?

Kasper

It sounds like you have too few cells, or cells with too high an internal resistance for the prop you are using (Ohm's Law).

What is your setup?

Hi Andy,

Well I have tried two different setup's, one was in my micro kat from H&M with a 480 motor, 29mm prop, and 7x sanyo 600 (standart not pushed or matched).

Second setup was with a 500motor and 33 or 36mm prop in one of my friends boats... 7 sanyo 2000 (cheap version not the RC2000's)

Both boats same problems...

I'm perhaps one of the few ones to have tested the Kontronik3000 here cause' ...
I also play Electric Airplanes and Cars !

Really the Kontronik3000 is cheap but cannot be compared to reliable designs such as Graupner, Schulze, etc.
Mine saw its FET deteriorated quickly ... and I promised myself to never use it again on a Plane ...
Typical setup I used :
7x 1250SCRL
SMT Meteor200
-> Something my PicoMos33 (old design / 7years working) holds flawlesly ...

Graupner Pico Mos35, etc. are reliable, largely respectfull of the announced Amp, and SO better invest

Considering only 480class (AP29BB as well), the small Schulze 24be is GOOD (cheap but packaged with quality)
