prop placement for MRP Fountain

My friend Mike (PCF 10) is setting up a MRP Fountain. He has two questions: (1) is a 700 motor like a Graupner 8.4 BB a good choice or would a 800 series be better and (2) where should the prop come out? Surface or subsurface?

The Fountain is a big (42") deep V. The boat would be for running around, not competition.

The 700 would be for 12-16 cells the 800 is 18 cells to ?. Run it surface drive it will give you the greatest speed with the ability to go higher with more powerful motors.

Thanks Ray. I'll let Mike know. This boat is big enough to float many cells, so he may go with the 800 motor.
