Sorry no pun intended. JOHNSON 970/1000 12 cell(max) ferrite bushing motors item # 1695290907 are going for $10.00 dutch auction.(1 day left).I've tested and hopped up a couple of these with success.There great 'SPORT' motors for 30-40"offshore boats.This guy also has alot of smaller motors at good prices (list his auctions) Heck at 10 bucks you could put 2 or even 4 in a large offshore hull and still have enough money for spares.(Or one of ANDYs ESCs)

Anyone know were we can find more info on these? Maybe max output watts? Does Johnson have a website, I couldnt find anything!

Steven,Johnson has a web site but doesn't list that motor.I believe their surplus or (NOS)new old stock.For 10 bucks they work excellent.I orig bought 3 burnt 1 up in testing (to many cells),found they prefer between 8-12 cells and can easily be modified for water cooled brush hoods.They perform similiar to 700BB motors but seam to have more torque to handle bigger hulls.They have high copper content brushes that are very long.Also have good run time if properly cooled.Ned Schmit made me some nice couplers for 1/4 shaft.
