For anyone interested.
This is the first time FE has been allowed to run in the OPEN classes in Atl.:thumup:
SAVE THE DATE: AUGUST 15th & 16th, 2009
The Atlanta Model boaters will host the innagural ATLANTA SUMMER SIZZLER / GAS CHAMPIONSHIPS @ Naturally Fresh Pond in Atlanta, GA. This is the same venue that hosts the annual ATLANTA SPRING NATIONALS.
With all the current buzz about the Thundboat class we have decided the priemeir event for the Atlanta Gas Championships will be the 1st ANNUAL THUNDERBOAT SHOOTOUT. The format for the shootout will be as follows:
- 4 rounds normal heat racing (time permitting)
- Top 6 in points after 4 rounds will move on to the one heat "Shootout"
- The winner of the shootout will receive a 5ft tall trophy and bragging rights for a year!
The following classes will be offered:
LSG 23-30 Mono
LSG 23-30 Cat
LSG 23-30 Crackerbox
LSG 23-30 Jersey Skiff
LSG 23-30 Rigger
LSG 23-30 Sport Hydro
Thunderboat
Open Mono (Nitro & Eletric allowed)
Open Hydro (Nitro & Electric allowed)
Open Offshore (Nitro & Electric allowed)
* Any gas engine (Zen, QD,J&G, M&D Cast, RCMK, etc...) allowed in the LSG 23-30 classes (max. displacement 30cc).
** Thunderboat will adhere to the IMPBA rules in effect @ the time of the event (pending ballot will decide the rules). Updates will be provided after the vote.
