Bubble wrap for floatation?

I just got a whole bunch of adhesive backed bubble wrap from work (work in hobby shop, I get to keep packing supplies that come in from orders). I was just wondering, how well does bubble wrap work for floatation? Or should I just use foam (which I got plenty of) Or maybe a combination of boat. I really don't wanna lose my boat in Davey Jone's Locker. It's going into a T-plus. Thanks.

Another good idea to use are these large plastic air bladders people are using in shipping lately.
