This the aft of my first boat. It's a cheap V-hull I picked up on Ebay. It's faster than me with my setup, Aveox 1412/2Y, 12 cells, Octura X646, FFE hardware.

The problem is turning. I have some turn fins, but I don't know where to put them. I don't race, just play around at the lake, so I want it to turn left and right. At this time, any turn over one quarter throttle it rolls over and plays dead. I'm sure a lot of this is from using a cheap, generic hull. After I learn a little more I plan on migrating the drive train to a tunnel hull.

Thanks for the help my new friends.

i would put them on to the right of the right trim tab and to the left of the left trim tab. put them on so the bracket of the turn fin is paralel to the bottom of the hull.

the angle on the turn fin should look like this, but the edge of the turn fin should start at the very out side edge.

That's what I suspected. I just wanted to see a picure before I start making holes.

Thanks for the help.
