OK fellas you guys are really posting some bad*ss videos on youtube. I cant believe that Electric boats have come so far. I am trying to locate your club member Jay with the Yellow Stryker. I just purchased a a carbon fiber stryker and I am deciding weather to go Quickdraw or Elec. Does Jay rig boats as a business if not who rigged his boat? What are the costs associated with going elec over gas and what happens when the boat flips and the hull fills with water? I appriciate you help in advance thanks have a great day. Gforce...

Our boats are usually well sealed from water. A flipped boat without hull damage can float for a long time. We use a solid hatch and hockey tape to seal it down. The electronics and motor are generally water cooled because there is no airflow in the hull. I will pass this on to Jay. I know he sets up his own boat. We have a meeting this coming saturday so you should come on out if you are in the area.

I would love to be there but I'm from Miami and its like a 16 hour drive. I spent about two years on and off in Houston dealing with my wife who had cancer. We had to move to Houston so she could get treatment at MD Anderson. I was in texas 10 days and Miami 10 days for two years. It would have been nice to have met you guys wile I was there. On a lighter note wile I was looking at the pictures of jays stryker I noticed that the cowling has a large opening in the back where the pipe should exit the cowl. It looks like water could just pour in that way. What gives? Thanks for the reply have a great day. Gforce...

What you see in the photos is just black paint and not an opening in the cowling.
