I need aircraft plywood and mahogany strip specifically. Much of what I have seen at hobby and craft stores is poor quality and over priced. Anyone know where I can order this stuff???

I get ply from a couple places depending on what I'm looking for and how much.

www.nationalbalsa.com

www.aircraftspruce.com

You can also use the balsa places like www.balsausa.com or www.superiorbalsa.com

When you start getting into the expensive stuff thats over $10.00 a sheet I look in the paper for craftstore coupons. Michaels and Hobby-lobby usually always have 50% off one item, then I just go there and buy it. I've got a lot of beatiful 1/64'' plywood that way. Sounds kinda cheezy for five whole dollars but it makes your money go twice as far.

Eric, man you seemed to be hung up on this cheezy thing LOL, savin money aint cheezy, if it leaves you money left over to buy good stuff that will make it go faster, it's only cheezy when you buy cheap balsa (density, grades etc) to save a few bucks, I think it's the way to go and it's a good idea, cheers eddie

What about the Mahogany? It looks like that might be a bit harder to find.

I get mahogany veneer from National. It isn't on the website - call for a catalog and you'll find it there.

Mahogany ply I would go with luan doorskins from the lumber yard.
