We are headed out to our usual lake for our usual meeting. Come on out and see my converted to FE from Nitro Mean Machine make its maiden voyage as the newest LSO entrant at HOTMBC!

See ya there!

I had a good time guys. Thanks to Jay and Kevin for helping me out with the drive line adjustment on the UL1 and Kevin for the use of the GPS unit. I got the UL1 up to 47.4 mph with driveable handling characteristics. I will add an air dam before I put the X642 on it.

I ran it with the M445 and got the above mentioned speed. I have added 2 ounces of weight to the nose of the boat and flattened the strut angle while lowering the strut way down. This required bending the drive line to conform to the flat angle at that depth.

I forgot my video camera so no vids of these runs. MY mean machine made its maiden voyage and seems to run nicely. The drive line needs some attention but otherwise it looks pretty good, of course it needs some tweaking. The L motor bracket I am using from offshore electrics seems to flex a hair along with the tunnel bottom so i will support the motor with a small wood brace. I will test this again at the next opportunity when the drive line has been fixed up, in a week or two.

Jay's LSO cat was smooth and quick. Kevin brought out his 6s Hydro and showed off a little. Tom brought out his stable of fast acrobatic hydros and performed another backflip and continue stunt. This is now his signature move. His UL1 killer gps'd an astounding 51+ mph! Pete brought his UL1 out for a little fun running. Mike stopped out at lake victoria and brought a nice little turnigy 420 charger that will charge 2 - 2S packs at once but is limited to 2 amp charge rate. It balances and charges. I may get a couple of these to keep my packs charged and balanced during race days.

We missed Jim and Steven and everyone else that was unable to come Saturday. I look forward to the next full meeting and some club racing! See ya soon guys.
