Hi all is a 50A ESC good for a N-1 I have a 22"hydro that is 15oz was thinking of making it in to a N-1 but not sure what ESC to use or might go L class in L and N-2 can I use a brushless motor?I was looking at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=130292539653 it is 50 amps and water proof. there is a stampede XL-5 that is allso water proof and then what prop for each set up should one use I have a Hacker 8 short 46?? RPMV I was thinking if I go brushless. any one have some in put on this.
Thanks for your help

A 50 amp controller should be enough for N-1. However, if you are actually going to compete there are a few things to consider. First NAMBA allows the new "brushless stock" motors but IMPBA does not. Also there isn't an L-class
or 4-cell anymore in IMPBA. It was eliminated when the new rules were passed. IMPBA does have the 19t spec class that will now run in the (N) voltage category (2S) which would provide more power and may be ideal for the size and weight of your boat.
With that said a 22" boat of any kind would be a little small for todays
N-2 power. Hope this helps.

I have to argee with Chris with the exception that a 22 inch N1 would be great! Funny though I have been looking for a replacement SC to sell for just the 19T and 27T motors and with out RC Hydros I am sorta lost.
