Hitting Ford field this evening guys. Hope the weather holds out. Shooting for 6:00 again.
You guys have to see this rigger I'm building. I've decided to try to get it done for time trials next weekend. I hate going to a race with next to zero testing but what the heck.

I should have asked if you guys were going out there yesterday. It's tough for me to go home and come back to 23 and Van Dyke. It's completely the opposite direction for me to go home after work.
We should start talking about Testing nights on Monday so we all can make plans.

We have the pond scheduled for every Wed. Maybe I should post here if I can't make it. I think I'm the only one with the key to get in.
Great Lakes is getting ready to start playing on Tuesday nights and they are also going to pick up a couple Sundays this summer on weekends we aren't there. That club has blown up over about the past year. That dinky little pond is becoming a boat haven.
It will be interesting when the fence gets put in on the other side of the pond. The whole thing looks better from over there. You lose that bean shape feeling that makes me so nervous on the front straight where we are now.

You missed a good one Ken. It would have reminded you of some of our erly trips to Camp Dearborn. Once the hail stopped then it started to get nasty out. Went from mid 50's and sunny to hail to 40 degrees to 35mph wind in about 15 minutes......so we waited another 15 minutes and it was sunny and calm again. The usual.

Well i hope you and Bill (anyone else?) had a good time. I was was reassembling and putting the finishing touches on my freshly painted 10S Cat. You guys are not going to believe the new look on this thing!
How'd the rigger run? Did you get the Jewel wet? Com-on spill!

The rigger isn't done. Matt had to order a .187 shaft for me from Ed. Did you know PS sells Zip Kits and the zip hardware now? That stuff is sweet. It's like a cleaner version of Speedmaster.
My particular Joule is way too heavy for the power limitations of our club spec. The next one will be a lighter layup. This first one came in at 6.5 pounds RTR. It's just too much. Plus, it's not really designed to run 40mph. Needs to be in the upper 50's to work right. I'm going to put the beast motor in it. I wont be running the club class with it though. For now at least.
Ty is going to race N2 sport. He ran great last night. I'll help him run on Sunday but I think he and I will team up for the whole season. Should be fun for both of us. Who knows, by the end of summer he might be ready for some crazy ponies.
John from Great Lakes came out and ran a Vaccupickle with a UL setup in it. That thing is awesome. Might be a touch loose for traffic but he's really close to having a monster. That class is going to be a gob of fun this summer. I can't wait.

That reminds me. I have some chrome vinyl if you want some. Makes for nice accents here and there.

Boy you read my mind already applied Gold vinyl accents to go with the gold leaf decal package.
Yep was at P S this week Matt showed me the Zipp stuff, cool!
I figured you would go wire on the rigger..... 3/16" is quite large!

I would have to put and S bend in it. It's super low pofile so the motor is flat. The top of the motor is above the deck under the canopy. .093 wire will not be happy. Plus the ball bearings are a pain in the keester. I have .187 in the Whip too. That way it works no mater how much power I put in there. Riggers are a ton of work. You have engineer everything.

You are so right! To much guess work too. I prefer to stick with the 10s stuff easier to wrench on.
