Just a reminder guys.

I should be out Wed to break some more stuff too. Fix it break it fix it break it fix it.

There's also a real boat race out in Walled lake this weekend. I might go out Saturday to check that out. My glass guy is thrashing this week to be ready. Makes me chuckle seeing that the real boat guys do the same thing we do....only bigger. The clear coat might be wet for a few laps.

I wish that I was closer to you guys to come and do some testing. I do all my testing by myself. I test on a big lake. I have to wait until there is almost no wind or have the wind coming out of the right direction. And now that its Summer I have to deal with the big boats, jet skis, fishermen and swimmers. If someone is swimming, I have to wait until they get out of the water or go home. So, I have to go out early before everyone gets out there.

Then there is the problem of when a boat is stranded. Two years ago I was running my LSO. It quit a long way out. Luckily for me a fisherman was coming in for the night. He brought the boat in for me. Now I don't go out testing unless I take my kayak or rescue boat out with me.

My raft goes into my truck in early May and stays there until it snows in the fall. I've been out in it once this year.

I commiserrate with you ,Jay. I have similar problems at my lake. I have to pick and choose the right moments when the bay is clear of traffic and it is not too windy. It is usually clear from 7 to 8 o'clock in the AMs during the week but I won't run at those times so I won't bother my neighbors. When I do get a chance to run, guys on jet skis come zipping in to see what I am doing. Mike Z has the same problems as he tests at my lake.

Be that as it may, we'll be there this Sunday whether we have adequately tested or not.

Thanks guys.
Honestly,
I'd love to show but have to evaluate the drive time. We'll figure it out later. What's the start time? 10am or when Fred wakes up?

Don't know about being a fox though Ken. LSH seems to be your territory these days.

Very weird. Running a detongued back cut 640 on a UL1 motor that has 4 runs on it total. GPS'd at 49 mph on that dinky prop. I give up. That boat hates Aquacraft. 3 motors and a speedo is enough for me. I'm cured. I went back to the Blackjack motor. It's faster on the UL motor but I can't keep getting DNS or DNF's......oh and replacing motors sucks too.

The jury is still out on my attendance so you'll just have to wait and see. Jay, please don't make any concessions on my account. If I do make it up there....I'll run LSH with my POS larsony and Stuper V in LSO....providing I can get enough packs together. Oh and all on DSM.

Terry,

I have a nice, well seasoned, 27t N1 motor and detongued x431 plastic prop that you can try. It probably wouldn't plane the boat, but we could use it as a rescue boat.

Well, I may not have any better luck with the SV27 motor in my Whiplash. I'll find out if my boat will finish a heat or toast a motor.

Jay, check the timing if your plugging it into a Castle. I'm almost positive that's how I cooked at least 2 of the AC motors. There was an issue with the one of the Hydra software versions that had the stock timing at 16 degrees. My boat ran 46 mph on my 240 then the next week I switched to the 120 and picked up 3 mph with no other changes. The only way to explain that is the timing. I didn't remember that until Fred reminded me later.
