Ive decided after what i can do with my n2 6cell rigger i should push it to a o2 8cell, i would then want to wake this a saw, a oval setup works great on it at the moment i would like to make the rigger streach its legs a little more. This little rigger would have to handle far better than any nitro ive ever owned and its probobly the most effecient. Not having ever made a FE SAW setup, setup wise i not not sure what will be a better approach.

What i would like to know is what kind of setups you guys are running out there, im open for setup ideas, but i would like to use 05 motors as i have a fairly good selection of them, and they are also easy to obtain. Any ideas or am i wasting my time? by the way my esc is a ,Stratos 80A-7-18 OPTO * 80 A 7-18 cells,

Hi William,
The best combo for me in that setup was a 8x2 Reedy Sonic 2 with 1732 prop. On 8 cells I had a few 58 MPH passes. With the same setup on 6 cells it would run 54. man that thing would spin some RPM's.

Good Luck,
Dick

Realize that all 8-turn motors are NOT the same. The Reedy Sonic 'big comm' Dick ran performs differently than an 8T Reedy Ti or an 8T Trinity P94. Generally, the Sonics act like a small comm motor with 1 to 2 more turns on it. Also, a cutting edge handwound motor like Dick's will not act like a machine wound motor with old-tech magnets. :(

This isn't meant to discourage anything, but just a reminder that an 8T D4 may burn up on 8 cells and a 1732 prop. Start small with 6 cells and check the motor for high heat after running less than 2 minutes. Then if it looks okay, add 2 cells.
