What do we need this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1756045970) for if we have these forums?

Seriously though, anybody heard of Paul Williams and know about this book?

Cheers

While this board is an excellent source of information, that series of books is invaluable. I have everyone in the series and have learned more from them than from being on this site. Don't get me wrong this site is the best. There is just so much knowledge in those books that I would never give mine up. Kind of like an FE bible series I guess. They cover everything that a begginer should know. They are worth every cent and I highly recommend them to anyone for reading and studying. After reading them I have a much greater understanding of the general side of fe. This site is great for the off the wall and the advanced questions. Just my 2 cents.

I ended up buying the Paul Williams book from Amazon.com instead of ebay. You say there is a series of these books? Can you recommend others?

Go to Rcstore.com and click on books, and you will see the series I speak of. Worth every penny.

he he, j/k. actually, I ended up buying it from the ebay seller cuz amazon said it would take a month to order/ship.

the ebay seller only had two left, I got one, and here's the other (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1756045970).
or here's the link to book at amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1900371022/qid=1028915521/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-5518167-3740742). I'd grab it fast from ebay... friendly seller.

the book by Paul Williams specifically isn't available at rcstore.com, but there are a couple other R/C eletric boat books there. the one by Paul Williams is new, 1996.

I did a search for the ISBN number (for example at pricescan.com), and this book can't be found anywhere!

I'm hoping to get mine in mail today.
Cheers,
John

jt, as for sailboats it's not my cup of tea either, but you have to admire the driving!(sailing) there is a guy in my boat club that makes sail boats, the knowledge he has about making moulds etc is really invaluable, and if you look at the control cables etc there is plety to apply to FE, I never turn down a source for new ideas flyguys, roadrats, windjammers, all need there brains picked, my 2 cents
