I don't think anyone has bothered establishing an actual class record for any of the Limited stuff yet... Needs to become a REAL NAMBA class first... Hopefully that is something that the powers that be see fit to do before next race season! :yeah:
More classes??

Doug, while I'm not a big fan of more classes, the P Spec has got me back into electrics after many years of just running Nitro and Gas. I could not do the $1000 plus power plant setup to run a full P hydro and still do all my nitro and gas as well. The P spec is cheep and fast enough to be fun (my P spec is faster than many .21 hydro nitro boats in my District). It's great to be able to build a complete boat with motor and batteries for about the same cost as .21 hydro and yet no fuel or glow plugs so to campaign one for the season should be cheaper over all and about the same speed. I actually set my boat up to use the batteries I had for the buggy I race in the winter. I hope we get this as a National class so that we can travel and know that we have a class to race in. BTW good luck on the invitational this year.

YES... another power class... However, that rule update may likely be accompanied by some class reductions/combinations as well... we have TOO many classes on the books, yet only a few really being utilized.
P-Limited is the best thing to come along in FE in a LONG time... It's all the rage ;) and more than just a passing fad.

Hi Eric, Darin,
I agree totally about the P-Limited classes being where the growth is. LOTS of bang for the buck!! We have three IC guys running some classes now and I have three JAE 21FE kits in the shop to build for gas/nitro racers. One local, and two in Michigan.:yeah: (I'm not out to convert anyone but if they're interested, I'm there:D)
We went from having to bring extra boats to make classes in District races to having two flights of P-Limited Sport Hydro and O/B Tunnel in just two seasons. I expect P-Limited Hydro to be even more popular.:)
I know there have been some private discussions (good idea) going on about rule changes and class eliminations in NAMBA. I also think it is important for the IMPBA to keep some parity with NAMBA and vice versa.
My, (our) concern is the impact this will have on SAWs. The SAWs guys are a touchy bunch that prefer to be left alone.LOL
We're looking forward to seeing what you fellas come up with when your willing to share.;) Please feel free to shoot me a email or PM.
Good luck!!

SAW and 2-Lap are points of contention... I contend that it doesn't MATTER how many classes are SAW/2-Lap elligible. Others strongly disagree.
We'll have to see where that part ends up!

Add my name to this growing list of SAWS / 2-Lap racers that support "NOT" limiting the number of classes.

I could offer good debate, but let's just see who agrees with us on this point.
Most likely all the current SAWS and 2-minute racers. :yeah:

Add my old hiney to the list of red headed step children.....:yeah:
Work is in process for just such a proposal.... semantics being the sticking point.... gotta appease the simplistic bunch while retaining the historic classes...;)
